Daniel Myles

BA (Hons), MPsych (Clinical)

Daniel is a clinical psychology registrar who believes that building strong therapeutic relationships with his clients is the cornerstone of progress.

Daniel is trained in working with children, adolescents and adults, however, has spent the last several years specialising in working with children and adolescents. He draws from a wide range of treatment modalities such as Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Parent-Child Interaction therapy (PCIT). When working with children and adolescents, Daniel believes that building their understanding of their emotions, whilst providing them with functional skills can have a significantly positive impact of their personal, social, familial, and academic progress.

Daniel also administers and interprets neurocognitive tests to assess for cognitive and intellectual functioning (IQ), Intellectual Disability, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Specific Learning Disorders (including Dyslexia, Dyscalculia and Non-Verbal Learning Disorders), and testing for giftedness. As a particular interest area, Daniel believes that neurocognitive testing allows for a better understanding of how your brain processes and interprets information to ensure the most appropriate strategies and supports are implemented that allow for the best chance of success.
