Alanna is a clinical psychologist who values the opportunity to build a genuine and meaningful relationship with her clients and walk alongside them on their journey of self-exploration and growth. Alanna prioritises safety in the therapy space to help her clients build upon their existing strengths, come to new understandings of themselves, and equip them with the skills needed to navigate life’s challenges.
Alanna collaborates with her clients to develop the best evidence-based treatment plan for their needs. She is trained in a range of treatment modalities, including Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Gottman Relationship Therapy.
Alanna is also able to provide couples therapy, working with couples to identify and break through negative interactional cycles, heal from breaches of trust and crises, and to reconnect and rebuild a healthy relationship.
