Dr Michelle Gao

Dr Yu (Michelle) Gao is a Specialist General Practitioner who obtained her first medical degree from University of Western Sydney, and subsequently gained valuable experiences in Medicine, Surgery and Paediatrics working across Concord, Canterbury and Broken Hill Hospitals as a resident doctor. Subsequently she worked as an Emergency Doctor for 4 years at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital where she completed her Master’s degree of Medicine in Critical Care. Whilst working as a General Practitioner, she treats patients holistically and endeavours to provide the best care for the community. Besides clinical work, she also has strong interests in research and teaching, and worked as a lecturer at the University of Newcastle and completed her latest research program on Antibiotics Prescribing with RACGP. Dr Gao has special interests in but not limited to Preventative Medicine, Women’s health, Antenatal care, Dermatology, Diabetes, Sexual health, Geriatric medicine, and Children’s health.
