Dr Darran Foo

BMed, MD, FRACGP, CHIA

Darran graduated from UNSW and completed his GP training rurally along the south coast of NSW. He is a Fellow of the RACGP and is a strong advocate for patient-centered care and takes a holistic approach to patient management. He is a SCOPE certified clinician in relation to the management of weight and obesity and has a special interest in this space.

But in the true sense of generalism, Darran is happy to see all patients across the entire continuum of general practice. This includes, but is not limited to, chronic disease management, preventative medicine, men's health, children's health, musculoskeletal conditions, psychological health, skin conditions and minor procedures.

Darran is also actively involved in teaching and research - he is a supervisor for both GP registrars and medical students and is currently completing his PhD at Macquarie University conducting research into how we can improve our primary care system in Australia.

Darran is also the Medical Director of the GP Helpline at Healthdirect Australia - https://www.healthdirect.gov.au/
