Dr Andrew Hanna

Podiatrist

Introduction and Background
My name is Andrew Hanna, and I graduated from Western Sydney University with a Bachelor's degree in Podiatric Medicine. My journey into podiatry started due to my genuine passion for making a positive impact on people's lives. I've always believed that healthcare is not just about treatment but about making a real difference in the quality of life for my patients. I work across several clinics within the Sutherland Shire and the Sydney CBD.

Experience and Special Interests
Throughout my education, I had the opportunity to gain experience in various podiatric settings. This includes working in high-risk and biomechanics clinics, as well as pediatric podiatry and general podiatry. Additionally, I have volunteered in multiple rural Indigenous and diabetes education clinics. These experiences have been vital in shaping my approach to patient care. They've allowed me to develop a comprehensive understanding of the diverse needs of patients and how best to address them.

My Approach to Patient Care
I approach patient care with three core principles in mind: love, care, and respect. To me, these are non-negotiable when it comes to treating patients. I strive to ensure that every patient feels heard, understood, and valued, regardless of their background or health conditions. I am committed to educating my patients about their conditions and the treatment options available, empowering them to make informed decisions about their care.

Professional Development
I am a firm believer in the importance of continuous learning and professional development. By staying updated on the latest research and advances in podiatry, I can offer the most current and effective treatments to my patients. This commitment to excellence is something I bring to my practice every day.

Community Involvement
Outside of my professional life, I am deeply involved in community service. I actively participate in my church community and the Coptic Orthodox community outreach service. Through these avenues, I help provide essential services such as food, clothing, and medical care to those in need. This work is incredibly important to me, reflecting my belief in the power of compassion and community support.
