Andrada Iordachescu

Registered Psychologist

Andrada is a registered psychologist who approaches her clinical work in a caring, compassionate and non-judgemental manner, whilst being active in therapy and engaging with patients to identify their goals and choose a course of action to suit their needs. 

She earned her BA Hons in Psychology from Titu Maiorescu University from Bucharest, Romania, a BA Hons in Social Work from Bucharest University, Romania and holds a Certificate in Psychological Counselling from SPER - Romanian Experiential Psychotherapy Association from Bucharest, Romania. Andrada graduated AHPRA's 4+2 internship program in Adelaide, South Australia and is registered with AHPRA. She also holds an Associate Membership with the Australian Psychological Society.

Andrada’s clinical experience expands over a period of 10 years and it has been focused on providing support across the lifespan, in a number of settings, including medical practices, schools, universities, charities, hospitals and private psychology practices, in Australia and overseas.

Andrada’s therapy approach is guided by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, with influences and elements from Motivational Interviewing, Schema Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Strength Based Approach and Solution Focused Therapy.

She supports adults and older adults (18+) struggling with various issues and her main areas of focus include: anxiety, depression, grief and loss, adjustment/lifestyle changes, stress management, unhealthy eating habits, time management, confidence, self-esteem, relationship/family issues.
